High-temperature smco magnets are able to withstand temperatures of up to 500°C primarily due to their stable crystal structure and excellent oxidation resistance. Unlike neodymium-iron-boron magnets, samarium-cobalt magnets are less prone to demagnetization at high temperatures, making them particularly suitable for use in high-temperature, long-term operation applications such as motors, sensors, aviation turbines, and oil drilling instruments. Additionally, while maintaining stable magnetic properties at high temperatures, they also exhibit good mechanical properties, with minimal risk of fracture or powdering.
Currently, many professional magnetic material manufacturers both domestically and internationally can customize samarium-cobalt magnets with a temperature resistance of 500°C according to customers' specific application scenarios, including directional sintering, dimensional processing, magnetic property adjustment, and surface corrosion protection treatment. Although high-temperature samarium-cobalt magnets have relatively high costs, their irreplaceability in extreme environments makes them the preferred magnetic material solution for high-reliability engineering systems.
