The magnetic sensor in a flow sensor primarily serves three functions: triggering the Hall element, rotating the impeller driven by the water flow, and periodically approaching the Hall sensor to generate pulse signals. The flow rate is converted into a frequency signal, with each pass of the magnet over the Hall element generating a pulse. The system calculates the flow velocity or flow rate based on the number of pulses per unit time. It provides non-contact detection using magnetic induction principles, eliminating mechanical contact to reduce wear and extend service life.
