Axially magnetized vs diametrically magnetized

Magnets most commonly used 2 kinds of magnetization is through the axial magnetization and diameter direction magnetization, they have how the difference? Today the permanent magnet manufacturer Courage small Fu to introduce you to the popularization.

Magnet axially magnetization and diametrically magnetization are two different types of magnetic field arrangement, they have significant differences in magnetic field distribution, application and effect, etc. The following is a detailed introduction.

Difference in direction of magnetic field distribution;

Axial magnetization: the magnetic field is oriented along the axis of an object or system. This means that the direction of the magnetic field is parallel or approximately parallel to the axis.

Radial magnetization: the magnetic field is oriented along the radial or circumferential direction of the object or system. The direction of the magnetic field is perpendicular to the axis and toward the center of the object.

Axial (thickness) magnetization adsorbs up and down, radial (diameter) magnetization adsorbs sideways.

Axial magnetization is also known as thickness magnetization

Difference in application range;

Axial Magnetization: Commonly found in applications such as magnetic fields generated by currents in long straight wires, column magnets, etc., helping to create magnetic fields oriented along a specific axis.

Radial Magnetization: Commonly found in applications such as toroidal magnets, motor rotors, sensors, etc., it is capable of creating a magnetic field distribution along a radial direction.

Comparison of magnetic field effects;

Axial magnetization: usually results in a magnetic field distribution along the axis of the object and is well suited for axially symmetrical systems.

Radial Magnetization: produces a magnetic field that is directed towards the center of the object, and is suitable for situations where a magnetic field needs to be radiated outward or inward.

The choice of axial or diameter magnetization depends on the needs of your application, axial magnetization is usually more suitable if a more powerful magnetic field and force is required, radial magnetization may be more suitable if space is limited in the application.

Our company is a magnet manufacturer, we can provide you with axial or radial round, ring, rectangular, cylindrical, curved and other special shaped magnets, multi-poles are also available, welcome to provide size consulting bulk purchase price.
