Difference between isotropy and anisotropy of rubber magnets

Rubber magnets or plastic magnets can also be called "bonded permanent magnet materials" in magnetic materials, such as the refrigerator door seal is the most common rubber magnet.

The Production of rubber oe plastic magnets:

The process about rubber magnet and plastic magnets is similar, In generally they are made of rubber or plastic materials with an appropriate amount of tiny particles of permanent magnetic materials (needle-shaped particles are best ,which like a tiny compass). After the particles of permanent magnetic material are fully mixed with rubber or plastic to ensure uniformly dispersed, and then processed into the required size and shape by the production process of rubber or plastic.

Rubber magnet: Adding magnet powder and various compounding agents in rubber to make magnetic rubber sheet (rubber soft magnetic) through mixing, rolling vulcanization, withdrawal vulcanization and other processes.

The main physical properties of rubber magnet:

It has high specific gravity, high hardness, good flatness and brightness, good wear resistance and high pressure resistance, its length can be cut or rolled according to the actual needs.

Rubber magnet has the isotropy and the anisotropy, both relatively speaking, the magnetism of anisotropy will be better. On this basis, rubber magnet can be divided into single-sided and double-sided magnetic, and can choose with glue and without glue.

The difference between isotropy and anisotropy of rubber magnet(plactic magnet is same):

Isotropy means that do not need to add the magnetic field when rubber magnets are pressed and shaped . In this way, the orientation of the tiny permanent magnet particles is randomly arranged in all directions. "Isotropy" has lower magnetic properties and lower production costs per unit.

Anisotropy means that need to add a magnetic field when rubber magnets are pressed and shaped. In this way, the direction of the tiny permanent magnet particles is arranged in one direction. The stronger the external magnetic field, the higher the consistency of the arrangement, also the higher its magnetic energy, of course, the cost will be higher. That can meet more different usage objects!

Due to the high plasticity of rubber magnetic material, finished products or semi-finished products can be randomly cut, punched and mounted on other materials, and is not easy to lose magnetism, and has good corrosion resistance.

Magnetism: Compared with the magnetism between the isotropy magnet and anisotropy, the magnetic function of the anisotropy rubber magnetic strength is higher.

Density and temperature: the magnetism of the isotropy rubber magnet are generally lower than that of the anisotropy rubber magnet.

Application:

  • Isotropy rubber magnet is mainly used in refrigerator magnets, printing products, stationery, and promotional supplies.

  • Anisotropy rubber magnet is mainly used in micro motor, computer, laser printer, copier, magnetic toys and other fields.

The above is the difference between isotropy and anisotropy of rubber magnet. Thank you for reading! If you have any enquiry about rubber magnet, please click rubber magnets and contact us!
