Magnets For R775 DC Motor (Arc Shape)

The R775 DC motor is a common high-power brushed DC motor, widely used in equipment such as electric drills, electric saws, water pumps, vacuum cleaners, cutting machines and garden tools. Today, we will discuss the magnets (magnetic tiles) used in its permanent magnet variants.

The arc magnet for the R775 motor are primarily made of sintered ferrite (the most common choice). Their dimensions are R19.8 × r14.3 × W35 × L40 × H14 mm. To explain these dimensions: R is the outer arc (19.8 mm), r is the inner arc (14.3 mm), W is the chord width (35 mm), L is the axial height (L40 mm), and H is the arch height (14 mm). The dimensions of magnetic tiles for 775 motors produced by different manufacturers are not entirely identical.

What are the characteristics of R775 DC motor magnetic tiles?

The stator magnetic field is typically formed by two radially magnetised, arc-shaped ferrite magnetic tiles (wet-pressed), which can meet the requirements of most industrial applications. The magnetic tiles are mounted on the inner wall of the motor housing, with the two tiles positioned opposite each other to form the north and south poles.

Although the magnetic tiles are merely one component of the motor, they do have a direct impact on the motor’s performance and reliability. Whether it be the dimensions of the magnetic tiles, the choice of materials or the magnetisation method, all require appropriate design based on the specific motor structure. Should your company require DC motor magnetic tiles, please provide the motor model, magnet dimensions or product drawings, and we will provide you with a quotation and samples.
