Which Has Better Performance, NdFeB N38UH or N38SH?

38UH and N38SH are neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnet material, stronger than the N35 grade magnetic, more applications in the field of motors, many people in the 2 grades is not very clear, ask the performance is better, the following Courage permanent magnet manufacturers xiaofu to briefly introduce.

The following chart compares the magnetic performance parameters of N38SH and N38UH grades.

Comparison of Magnetic Performance Parameters of N38SH and N38UH Grades

In N38SH and N38UH, the letter "N" stands for neodymium-iron-boron NdFeB, the number "38" stands for the magnetic energy product (energy density) level of the material, and the letters "UH" and "SH" stand for different internal coercivity and temperature resistance.

From the performance parameters table can also be seen, N38SH and N38UH in the remanent magnetization, coercivity, maximum magnetic energy product, the return permeability data is basically the same, so they are not much difference in magnetic properties.

So what is the difference between the two?

The main difference lies in the difference in temperature resistance, N38UH has a higher endowment coercivity, the maximum operating temperature of 180 ℃, so in high temperature or working environment by the external magnetic field changes in the application, N38UH performance is more stable, better performance.

Secondly, the price, N38UH material cost is higher, feedback to the magnet price will be higher.

When choosing between N38SH or N38UH, consider this;

If the temperature resistance is within 150°C just choose N38SH, above 150°C, N38UH grade is more suitable.

Overall, there is no difference between N38UH magnetic properties and N38SH, but UH grade has better high temperature resistance and also costs more, so you need to choose according to the specific working temperature.
